Introduction to magnetic refrigeration: magnetocaloric materials
The interests of magnetic refrigeration are no compressor, free of ozone-depleting gases, reduction in the energy required by approximately 35%, according to certain studies (the only energy required is that necessary to run the engine and the water pumps), safe cooling with no impact on the environment, can reach temperatures of 4 K (− 269 °C), high reversibility (quasi reversibility), and therefore greater efficiency. This leads to a much better energy efficiency, compact, silent, and practically without mechanical vibration. Click here to read the full article. (Source: Springer Link)
